The Cycle of Life – A Pen for Your Thoughts…

The cycle of life consists of Valleys, Plains, Hills and Mountains. Every one of us is involved in this cycle of life, and life can start you at any part of this cycle. Some start in the valley; they were born into trouble, poverty and pain. Some were started in the plains where they have the basic comforts of life but not much ambition. Others had the benefit of being born on the mountain tops where everything is possible and good! The news is that no stage is permanent. Be sure to know that every stage is transitional. The BIG question is, Where are you right now?

In The Valley
The Valley is the lowest part of the cycle. It is a place of hardship, pain and struggle. It is also the place to toughen up and grow from boyhood to manhood. In the valley, your true relationships are revealed to you; be they friends or foes. It is the place where the faint-hearted simply give up. In the Valley, some develop a survival instinct and simply pitch their tents there. They believe that the Valley stage is their lot in life, after all, not everyone will be at the mountain top (and they are so correct). They become the leader of the slums and simply develop the ability to absorb whatever the Valley throws at them. Another group of people simply stay in the Valley long enough to finish their training and then fight their way out. They know and believe that there is still space at the top for them, so they find their way out of the Valley and end up on thePlains.

In The Plains
The Plains is a place of rest, respite, recovery and comfort. Its a place for the novices in life’s skills to start their mild training. It is a place of picnics, parties and fun. Unfortunately, this place of fantasy is just an illusion that does not always last. Some simply pitch their tents here and believe they have done well for themselves; after all they are better than the people in the Valley. Unfortunately, the Plains is a place of mediocrity. Most people get so comfortable with this stage that they do not attempt anything higher or better. They remain in this stage of false success until the enemy comes upon them suddenly in the form of unexpected circumstances and unforeseen issues. They then begin to run helter-skelter. Some end up right back in the Valley, and some, on their way to the foot of the mountains. They struggle and climb a bit and suddenly they are at the top. It wasn’t so difficult, was it? Alas! It is the top of the Hills.

At The Hills
The Hills is a place of progress; a place of small victories, little successes and some advancement. It is definitely a place where a person can experience measurable achievements. But these experiences are one-off incidents and there is so little room on the Hills. Depending on your level of focus, you may very well fall back into the Valley or Plains; or choose to be on your way up the Mountain top.

On The Mountains
The Mountains is a place of mixed blessings. The road up the Mountains is extremely lonely. Most people prefer to settle down at the Hill tops; it’s not so difficult to get there and even though the achievements are quite limited, they are okay with that because they don’t have to work too hard. The Mountains on the other hand is a place of “make it or get broken!” There is no room for mediocrity; only the toughest survive and make it to the top. The journey up requires full development of every skill you have acquired: physical, mental, emotional, and psychological. The painful part is that, on your way up, people stop understanding you, even your loved ones! Some even give up on you and only those that love you unconditionally will stick around (and often wonder if you know what you are doing!).

However, the interesting part is that the moment you get to the top and push your flag of success into the Mountains, voilà! All your “friends” will return. After all, success has many relatives. You are suddenly surrounded with so much love! The major challenge with this stage is knowing how long to remain at this particular Mountain top. It’s not forever! The mountains also reveal the true character and nature of a man. The skill and attributes you developed on your way will define who you have become.

Just as nature has taught us, no stage is permanent. Just when you start getting used to mountain top, you might suddenly find yourself on your way to the Valley! Sometimes you don’t even realise on time that you are on your way there until you are right at the Valley.

So many factors could be responsible for the return trip to the Valley from the Mountain top. It could be ‘self-inflicted’ as a result of an attempt to conquer another Mountain. You just didn’t just realise that the gap between the mountain you were on, and another higher one is a deep valley. Some factors could be as a result of personal errors and wrong choices in life. Some factors, you just can’t even explain; life just happens.

Some people are unable to recover from this rude shock of life. ‘Life is so unfair’ they say, ‘how do I ever recover? It’s too late, I’m too old to do this again.’ So they give up and die, or pitch their tents in the valleys and spend the remains of their days telling stories to the younger generation of their past victories. They become story tellers of the valley. They are simply too tired to try again.

Some start their journey up again. They pack their baggage and begin to climb. The only difference is that this time they are smarter by reason of experience. They avoid the pitfalls of the past. They don’t even wait at the Plains and the Hills to rest. They know that the greatest reward is at the top of the Mountain and they are going straight for it.

What Do You Do When You Are Too Tired To Go A Step Further?
There are three things to do.

  1. First, look back; to your past successes and not failures, to progress made and not downfalls. Remember the good times you had and achievements you experienced. Man, you were good!
  2. Secondly, look forward. To the gratification of conquering this new Mountain and proving that you are a mountain-owner. Look forward to all the good incentives and rewards that come with the success of the Mountain top.
  3. Thirdly, look upward; to the One that sticks closer than a brother. You need The One who that will go all the way to the Mountain top with you; even when everyone else abandons you. Jesus is The One that knows all the secret routes to the mountain top. He is The One that will give you fresh vision when you lose your vision. He will make straight your path even when your eyes are dim. He will keep your vision alive and take you to the very top.

If you have not met Jesus, I will like to introduce Him to you. He is the Breath of Life; He is the Giver of Life. He is the Saviour and Lord of mankind. Simply say this prayer at the right-hand column of this page. God bless you!

Give Me Your Boat

Many times we are hooked on what we are looking for
We forget that God also has a need
Peter had a need for a harvest
But that did not come
Until he fulfilled God’s need for a boat
Your need is tied to your meeting God’s need

‘Give me your boat’, the Master said
Contrary to Peter’s expectation
For he needed fishes and not a sermon
But in obedience lies the miracle
For harvest came after he gave

Yours might not be a physical boat
But there is something you have the Master needs
No matter how small or great it is
Your miracles lies in your obedience
Give Him your boat
And watch God move in your life

Believe God for the best…

Mark 5:36{KJV}

‘’As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.’’

Dearly beloved, I come to remind you once again that the Christian life though full of trials is nevertheless progressive; it is from grace to grace and from glory to glory. It does not matter what contradiction you see or experience, it can only get better for the believer. That is why I know that though you may be going through certain difficult situations right now, refuse to accept defeat, keep trusting God because nothing can stop your celebration. I challenge you to believe God for the best, because it will surely happen.

Oftentimes, the problem with believers is that we take a look at our lives and are tempted to judge ourselves from the perspective of the world. The result is that we begin to compare ourselves with others, and feel we have been left behind. Beloved, understand that God deals with and sees you differently from those in the world. Remember that one day with the Lord is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is but like a day in His sight. What does this say to you? It means that God is not controlled by time. He does not live in time. You are the one that lives in time and so certain things can only happen at His own appointed time.

You must always walk with the mentality of a person who knows that all things worketh together for good to them who love God and are called according to His purpose. Like I would always say, wake up in the morning and expect only good to happen to you. Everything around you may not look good, that is just the fact, the truth however is that He daily loads you with benefits. You must take your portion of the benefits. You have a responsibility to create you day with your mouth. Don’t allow the devil create your day. Speak what you want to see and it will come to pass. Refuse to cancel yourself out in-spite of what the enemy throws at you knowing that head or tail you would win.

The Apostle Paul puts it this way: ’’For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day’’. {2 Corinthians 4: 16 KJV}.  He goes on to say in verses 17-18, ‘’for our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.’’ Beloved, God’s word is not void of power, the truth is that there is a glory that God has prepared for you and I declare that you will partake of it in Jesus name.

I know that you may still have certain unanswered questions in your heart about why this and that thing has not happened yet, but I come to remind you that the God you serve is still faithful, just and righteous. Psalms 36:6 declares that ‘’His righteousness is like the great mountains’’ in other words, He cannot renege on what He has said concerning you. You can stake your life on what He has said because He is dependable. Men may have laughed at you, mocked or ridiculed you but I encourage you to hang in there because God will give you cause to laugh. Those that laughed at you are coming to laugh with you. It may be tough out there in the world, but for you it will be different. The grace of God in your life will make all the difference.

The last time I checked the scriptures, I saw that Esther though a slave girl rose to the position of being a queen in a foreign country. Think about it! Beloved, that same grace that took away the reproach of slavery from Esther would work for you. The scriptures also tell us that David, though an ordinary shepherd boy was catapulted by the grace of God to the throne of Israel. What is that saying to you? Beloved, it means that you will not remain where you are today. You will get to that height God has ordained for you. Don’t ever forget that what God has done for one is an evidence of what He will do for another. That is why I know that you will not be denied. I cancel every delay in your life. My God will grant you speed. He will compress time for you. You have heard the testimonies of others, be rest assured you will testify also.

As you go into this week, as always, I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

Maranatha!

The Unfaithful Husband

David came home – home? – thoroughly exhausted. He had come straight from the airport where he went to see his Chairman and his whole family off. Their last boy was graduating that week, abroad. David needed rest. He would have loved to drive straight to the house in Banana Island where he could tumble into bed and sleep like a baby since there was none there: for at least eight hours, non-stop. But he could not afford to. He had not seen his wife and two children in four days.
Simi was sitting in the mist of rumpled bed sheets and unarranged pillows and an unmade bed when her husband walked in. She was still in her night gown at about..? David’s white face Omega wristwatch told the time – 12:59pm – almost one o’clock in the middle of a working day! Her one month old coiffure was still under a net.
It was the children’s mid-term break, so they were in bed with her. On sighting their dad their eyes became round and shiny with joy. They were restrained from jumping on him by past warnings that they should not to do so to their dad when he came home.
David dropped his briefcase (which he brought home for a show for there was nothing in it that he needed at home) and his jacket on a chair then he stepped out of his shoes. His stockings were pure silk – he wore the best now. For the past one year, he had quickly stepped up on the rungs of the success ladder. Only he would never tell his wife what those rungs were made of.
He unloosened his handmade red tie and pulled it from his neck; his sky blue Pierre Cardin shirt went next. He was so fast that within three minutes he had stripped down to his white Calvin Klein cotton boxes and jumped into bed with his children and their mother. And there was a bit of rough and tumble as the little ones went crazy over him.
When all the rough and tumble subsided, they had the snacks David brought home for them – some cookies and luxury wafers and candies. Sooner the novelty of their father’s return came to an end and they were taken away by the maid. The husband and wife deliberately busied themselves with other things until nightfall when the children had gone to bed and there was nothing else they could pretend to be doing. Then, they faced the quiet moment, the moment of truth.
David thought that he had been healed of that terrible ailment called conscience but when his wife asked the first prying question, he discovered that he was still very much ill with conscience. He avoided eye contact with her and chose to stare unbelievingly at the calendar she pointed at.
The way she went about it was terrible. He never suspected that she suspected. In fact, he thought that they were having a good marriage – life was good, the freezer was filled up, the storeroom stocked as if they were expecting a siege; her wardrobe was tight for space and many of her shoes found accommodation in other rooms in the house
‘Who’s my mate?” she asked, quietly in a non-violent voice.
“Mate as in what?” he asked with a sinking feeling.
“Mate as in your mistress.”
‘And, what’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means that there’s a third party in this marriage. I’m not angry (he could see that and it was killing him). I want to know her. If she could come and live with us, maybe you will come home every day and I wouldn’t have to spend time explaining to your children why you have to work late and many times, sleep in a hotel near your office.”

She was crazy, he knew. What 21st century woman would want another woman in her home to share her husband? David could see the advice of Simi’s evil sisters: they certainly had a hand in this.
“There’s no mate or mistress,” he said without looking at her. “It’s all work. To be successful in life is hard work – something has to give way for another. It’s all work – hard work.”
There was silence. After a while, he broke it, changing the subject.
“When is supper? “You didn’t ask me what I’d like to eat.”
“I’m sorry,” she said sarcastically, looking at him with unexpressive eyes, “seeing that I’m no longer used to being married.”
“Hey!” he cried laughing and grabbing her right arm to pull her to him. It was a thick right arm for she had grown quite stout now that there were plenty to eat and little or no work to do. “I’ve been gone for only four days,” he said. “And the Bible truth is that it’s been all work and no play. I play here. This is where I play the peek-a-boo and run around in my boxers all day without care or shame!”
It sounded like the truth. But there were other matters.
“There must be someone else. Something is missing – a connection is lost. It’s no longer the same. Do you know the last time you touched me?”
He laughed and said, “Of course. That was…” He could not place it. “That was three months ago.”
She got up and went to the calendar, “See – I marked the days in red. Before that, it was two months. See the red asterisks and before it, it was five weeks…”
David stared at the calendar with horror-filed eyes. How could that treacherous calendar allow itself to be marked against him? He stood transfixed for a long time, staring at it. Then he came to himself. “It’s all work,” he repeated. “I’ll go now and bathe quickly and we will catch up on lost times.”
He hurried into the bathroom. At the dinner table, he gave his steward a paper on which he had scribbled something and a piece of money. When his wife didn’t ask him what it was, he became more afraid. It was a bad sign that meant that she wasn’t completely bought over. He went ahead to explain to her in a confidential tone.
“You know,” he began, “I’ve been thinking about what you said about us – in fact, if not that I trust your judgment, I’d have said it’s a lie – but knowing how good with details you are, I know you must be right – I mean, the how long – we‘ve, you know? It’s appalling to me. I’ve inkling that all is not well with me- perhaps, something is wrong with me. I just sent Joseph to get me a pack of Viagra.”

A cry was heard upstairs and he bounded up to the children’s room, helped his four year old daughter to the bathroom and returned to his wife but not to the Viagra story. And his wife didn’t ask him, not even to reassure him in that area. It dawned on him that she was right – a connection had been broken between them. He felt so uncomfortable. How old were they? Early 30s for her and mid 30s for him and they were already in a rift – a widening gulf!
“Listen!” she said sharply when they were in the bedroom and he was poised to swallow the Viagra with a glass of water. “Don’t come near me after taking that medicine. What do you take me for, a nincompoop?”
Slowly, he put both the water and the drug down and turned to face her.
“Okay,” he said wearily, “Come with me to work tomorrow. Stay until closing time. Stop by my office every day, any day you like. When I have to sleep over at work, you must bring the children and we shall stay there until I’m through. Anything you want, Simi, including castrating me (She didn’t laugh. He tried harder), I’II be willing to oblige you. I came to rest, to enjoy peace and love at home. Are they too much to ask from a loved one?”
He defeated her. Simi began to thaw he could sense it. It was Age of Technology – many things were possible. Having been stopped from taking the Viagra and knowing in him how much he needed aid; David took one of his handsets and programmed a fake call, saving it under the name Lemon Group Chairman, his employer. Then he went into the bathroom, leaving his two handsets by his side of the bed. He flushed the toilet as his manner was before using it.
Two minutes later, a call came through. It rang for a while and just as he knew, it began to move closer to the bathroom.
“Who’s that?” he cried, “Answer it for me.”
“Your Chairman!”
He flushed the toilet again.
”Bring it, I’m through!”
He sprayed the air-fresher. His wife opened the door; in there, smelt nice. He took the call and followed her out.
“Hello, Sir! Good evening, sir! Yes, sir! (Pause –long pause) Okay, sir! I”II send it right away, sir!”
He dropped the phone and picked his briefcase saying, “I don’t know why I don’t have a scanner at home. May Chairman needs some documents I have here. I have to go to a cyber café to scan them to him.”
“You’ve not washed your hands,“ she said.
“Oh, yes!“ he said and re-entered the bathroom, washed his hands and came out talking to her. “Let’s go together. It will be done in a jiffy. What’s the time?”
“8:23,” she said in a voice that betrayed her stancfe, she was letting go of the fight.
David went back to the suitcase, took three papers, and went to the wardrobe. Soon, he was stepping into a pair of slacks and shrugging into a tracksuit top.
“Let’s go! Where’s my car key? Or should we use yours? You drive …” “I’m not going,” she said.
He stopped and looked at her. Was she still angry?
“I’II be back in a jiffy.”
In ten minutes he was back, a couple of Viagra diffusing in his blood stream. While outside, he had warned himself; he must time his phone for conjugal bliss – only there was no longer bliss in it for him. But he still needed his wife, he still wanted her – they were so used to each other that if she wasn’t there he would be lost. He guessed he still loved her. She was family and stability – nothing would make him to deliberately hurt her.
However, he had located bliss somewhere else –in another who knew how to eat a little and exercise and keep trim; who took time to wax and exfoliate her skin; who took sauna and spent time at the spa; whose coiffeur never lasted beyond a week. She was his chairman’s daughter: the rungs on which he had climbed the success ladder. And she very understanding also – never spoke evil of David’s family. She insisted that David treat them well. He was the one that insisted on giving her a fairer share of his time.
The situation was unto its second year David’s conscience was severely seared. Many of his friends had such arrangement only his was the best- he received lots of favour from her. But suddenly one of his closest friends died he had engagements here and there – David knew all of them – secrets his wife and children had no clue of. He was only 37- what a tragedy!
At the funeral, his friends made sure that they kept the other women and their children away. But for what purpose? – to hide the facts from his wife and children- mere mortals – when the preacher who preached his funeral sermon said that there is someone in heaven who sees EVERYTHING and TAKES RECORDS and rewards – evil for evil, good for good.
That sermon made David uncomfortable for days. He knew what terrible record his was. And according to the preacher, he knew not when the maker would call him. What if it was now? Where would he go? Whose bus ticket was he carrying?

Daily Confessions for May 17th – May 24th 2015

I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins. He rose again triumphant over death, grave and hell. He is sitting at the right hand of the Father God from where He will come to take me home. I am glad that I am saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. While I am waiting for Him, I will live my life here to please Him.

The Lord is a shield for me, my glory and the lifter up of my head. (Psalm 1:3). He is my buckler because I trust in Him. (Psalm 18:30) The Lord girds me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like hinds feet and sets me upon high places. He teaches my hands to war so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms. (Psalm 18:32-34)

The Lord will cause my eyes to see the hidden riches in secret places; I will be sought after. (Is. 45:3). This is my season of recovery; everything the locust, the cankerworm, the palmer worm has eaten shall all be restored unto me. I will pursue, overtake and recover all (Joel 2:25; 1 Sam 30:8)

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He is my keeper, the shade upon my right hand. The sun will not smite me by day, neither will the moon by night. The Lord will keep me from all evil, He will keep my life. The Lord will keep my going out and my coming in from this time forth and forever. (Ps. 23:1, Ps 121:5-8)

I am a firm believer in the word of God; and I know that whatever the word cannot give me does not exist. And I do not need it. I stand boldly on the word of God and the word will produce in my life. Therefore, I am convinced beyond every shadow of doubt, that, every word of prophecy and every declaration that has been made over my life this year for good will come to pass. I live under an open heaven. I am an Overcomer (Jn 1:1-3; Heb. 1:3; Is. 44:24-26).

I am a follower of Christ; therefore I am committed to excellence in all I do. I am a diligent worker and I am dedicated to service in full understanding of God’s call upon my life. I achieve results because God prospers the works of my hands. (Job 37:23; Ps. 148:13; Ps. 150:2; Prov. 12:26).

I treat everyone that comes in contact with me with courtesy; I let the light of God shine through me because I am the extension of God to my world. Every day and in every way, I am getting better: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, morally and in all my endeavours. (Prov. 4:18; Matt. 5:14; Jn 8:12; Jn 5:37; Jn 14:9; 1 Jn 4:17).

I am called for a purpose, I will fulfill purpose and I will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for my life. Nothing will cut me short. I will make a formidable impact in my world for the Kingdom.

Therefore I declare boldly that as I go about my assignment this week, favour will attend my ways. I attract favour anywhere I go.

It is my week of Abundance and Goodness

My week of Increase and overflow

My week of Opportunities and Achievements

My week of Restoration and Release

My week of Grace and Greater Glory

My week of Celebration

Evil shall bow before me; the wicked shall bow at my gate.

Everywhere I go this week, I carry the goodness of God

Because there is Power in the word of God.

Lessons From My Childhood

When I was growing up, my brothers and I were picked up from school by our Uncle, our Dad’s younger brother. He lived with us when his University was on vacation and when he finally finished school. In the beginning, we were happy to see him go when school was back on because he wasn’t one of those fun uncles that brought back chocolates and presents, he brought with him strict rules and maths questions. So, during our vacation times, while all the other children played on the street, we were either solving math questions or reading our bible.

As a child, it seemed like the end of the world, being stuck with an Uncle with a “no fun” policy, an Uncle so strict that we couldn’t wait to avoid him by going to sleep. But now, as I look back, I am able to appreciate some of the things he was able to offer my brothers and I.
During our morning and nightly devotion, he made us recite a few things including the usual “Grace” and Psalm 23:6. One of those recitations was Romans 1:16

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”.

To be honest, when I was reciting it back then, these words had no meaning to me. All I knew was that I had to say it with deep conviction and believe that what I was saying was true and was meant to be delivered to the world.
Nowadays, these words bring more understanding to me about who I am, who I should be and who the people around me should be.

First of all, I should never hide my faith. It is who I am, my destiny. I should be proud to declare that I am a child of God and preach His word to any one that is willing to hear. God has given me the gift of Salvation because I was able to believe. There is no way I will not be proud enough to declare that to the world.

Now, apart from me, He has also given the right of that same Salvation to anyone. Not only to those who were born into the religion (Jews) but also to all others who were misinformed about Him being the One True God. He has said, that we, those that know, would check ourselves first and be sure to receive the Salvation, knowing that, being born into the religion alone does not save you, but believing that He is true and willing accepting Him as truth. After we have received Him, we are then tasked with the job of telling the world (Greek) those that are living not knowing that His salvation is open to them. My evangelism skills are not what I would call prime (unlike my mother’s gift), but I will definitely try to tell anyone in my life, whenever I have the opportunity, that His love is so expanded, that He has freely given us all Salvation; NO discrimination!

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

– An excerpt from the book A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson

Your gates are open continually

ISAIAH 60:10 – 16{KJV}

‘’And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted. The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, the city of the Lord, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal Excellency, a joy of many generations. Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.’’

Dearly beloved, I welcome you to the first Sunday service of the new month. I come to you today with a clear mandate from God – your gates shall be open continually. They shall no longer be shut.

This new month, God would bring you into a land where you will eat bread without scarceness. Before the need arises in your life, the supply would be available. You will not be stranded because your gates are open continually. You will recall that in Bible times, gates represented the place of authority where far reaching decisions were taken. Gates also represented access to and from a city, therefore for as long as the gates to a city were open, you could be sure that socio-economic activities would never cease. In like manner, understand that for as long as your gates are open, the forces of the Gentiles and their kings {substance, resources, wealth, tribute and allegiance} would have no choice than to gravitate towards you whether the devil likes it or not.

The trouble with some of us however, is that even though our gates are open we cannot correlate our present challenges and experiences with what God has said. Many times we feel God does not know or care about how we feel. The result is that we cancel ourselves out from receiving from Him, but I come your way today with a word of assurance from God’s word that He is still committed to bringing to pass every word He has spoken concerning your life. His word to you today is that your gates shall be open continually.

Yes, while it may appear as if every door is shut against you right now, fear not because you would take delivery of your miracles. Just like the Psalmist said, weeping may endure through the night but joy comes in the morning. Beloved, your morning of joy has come. The word of God says the Gentiles and the sons of all those that afflicted you, shall come bowing down before you. You may not understand how it will happen but just believe it. Your gates have been thrown open so get ready for you shall be sustained with the riches from afar. That means you will no longer work like an elephant and eat like an ant. There shall be no more empty barrel for you and the days of barely making it are over in your life.

Child of God, I encourage you to get ready for wealth transfer because God’s word says you will suck the milk of the gentiles and suck the breast of kings. Things might look tough but believe God for the impossible. The miracles that hitherto looked impossible are about to become the order of the day in your life. Indeed, those things that you have put on the shelf and termed impossible, are the very things that God would bring to pass that you might know that He is God. I encourage you to open your mouth and begin to call forth those things that be not as though they were. Call forth your dream job. Call forth your husband or wife. Call forth your house or car. Don’t keep quiet. Make sure you maximize the power of your tongue. Never let the devil have the last say and pretty soon you will take delivery of your miracle.

Until I come your way again next week, go into this week rejoicing for God will continually watch over His word in your life to perform it. Indeed your story will change. Your gates shall be open continually. They shall not be shut day and night. I will hear your testimony. I bless you.

Daily Confessions for May 3rd – May 10th 2015

I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins. He rose again triumphant over death, grave and hell. He is sitting at the right hand of the Father God from where He will come to take me home. I am glad that I am saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. While I am waiting for Him, I will live my life here to please Him.

The Lord has opened the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, to send rain on my land in this new month and to bless my home and all the works of my hands.  It is true unto me according to the word of God (Deu 28: 12, Psalm 119:25)

I shall lay up gold as dust and as the stones of the brook. Yea the Almighty shall be my defence and I shall have plenty of silver (Job 22:24-25). The Lord has made me a blessing; I am blessed going out and blessed coming in. He will cause the shower to come down in its season, there shall be showers of blessing. The trees of my field will yield their fruit and the earth shall yield her increase and I shall be safe in the land. (Deut. 28:3, Lev. 26:4)

Thanks be unto God who always causes me to triumph in Christ and makes manifest His Knowledge by me in every place because I am the light of the world and the salt of the earth. (2 Cor 2:14, Matt 5:13-14). I refuse to faint under any circumstance and though my outward man perishes, I know that my inward man is renewed day by day. (2 Cor 4:17)

There is power in prayers

It is no longer news that the days we live in are evil; but the good news is that God has made available for the Believer, enough spiritual weapons to ward off the wiles of the devil. God knows that you live in a world where the enemy tries to intimidate you and back you off into a corner. He knows that when you are looking for promotion, money, or political power, it is in the hands of the uncircumcised. He knows that you have no any other power, and so He fashioned your weapons of warfare from heaven, so that you can possess your possession. One major resource I like to remind you of is the power of prayers.

The problem however with a lot of Christians today, is that we are busy fighting spiritual battles with carnal weapons. For those of you in business understand that you cannot win in the market place fighting with carnal weapons. As a wife, or husband, daughter, or son, you can’t win it that way either. There are battles to fight, but listen; you cannot win using carnal weapons. Look at what the scriptures say in Ephesians 6: 12 – 18 ‘’… For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of the world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. Praying always with all prayer and supplication for all saints.’’

Beloved, with this impressive arsenal at your disposal, you cannot afford to coast along in life and hope that the devil will just go away. No, this is the time to deploy your weapons. It is the time to stand and fight. This is the time to step out, praying always, in all manner of prayers, in tongues, in agreement, in intercession, in binding, in loosing. Let your life be soaked in the word and prayer then you’ll become a terror to the devil. Put on the whole armour of God and fight.  Don’t let the enemy pluck out your eyes. There is power in prayers.

Do you remember the story of Queen Esther? She knew the situation facing her people was critical and only the supernatural intervention of God could deliver them. She also knew that the fight was not carnal but spiritual. As a queen, she could deploy her soldiers, but this was a spiritual fight and she needed to fight with spiritual weapons. Mordecai and Esther, and all their brethren, fasted for 3 solid days & nights. They made preparations. They received the word of God in their spirit. They received the spiritual bullets, to confront their confrontations. If Esther had not acted, it would have been a total wipe out of the Jews living in the kingdom because according to the laws of the Medes and Persia, a law had been passed that can never be violated.

The good news was that Esther was able to change that law. The question is how did she pull it off? Beloved, it was not through diplomacy or political lobbying. No, she tapped into the divine principle of prayers. She did a midnight connection, to rearrange it. By the time she stepped before the king, the power of God had gone before her to make the crooked places straight, to break the gates of brass and bars of iron. The King had no choice than to stretch forth the golden scepter towards her even though she had wasn’t invited. Beloved, that was not all. He also promised to do whatever she wanted, even up to half of his kingdom. To crown it all, the 50 feet gallows, which Haman had prepared, for Modecai, was the very gallows on which he was destroyed. That is the power of prayers.

Beloved, don’t lay back and watch the devil ride roughshod over your life. Get back to the place of prayers and pray like a man or woman from another world and I can guarantee that you will have the victory. As you take a step of faith in the place of prayers today, God will honour your faith and move on your behalf. I bless you.

I will hear your testimony.
